John Shaker - President / CEO
Mr. John Shaker is an accomplished systems engineer with
over twenty years experience delivering world-class
solutions required for complex product development. Mr.
Shaker began his career at the Naval Surface Warfare Center,
serving as a structural analyst, before transferring to NASA
Glenn Research Center. Mr. Shaker spent nine years
performing and managing structural systems development
activities for the Launch Vehicle Project Office
participating on eight spaceflight project teams responsible
for the integration of NASA payloads flying aboard the Space
Shuttle, Atlas, and Titan IV launch vehicles. He
successfully demonstrated the ability to perform complex
engineering and integration functions as well as directing
large project teams.
Mr. Shaker founded NovaTek Engineering in 1997, to assist
clients in their effort to develop and link their business
strategy with technology and product development activities
in a way that leads to real business value. At NovaTek, he
led the development and deployment of an end-to-end complex
system development framework that facilitates the reliable
and repeatable development of complex, highly integrated
business and engineering systems. Mr. Shaker has developed
and deployed complex systems solutions for Global 1000 firms
seeking to improve their product and process development
processes. He has also been actively involved in
establishing systems engineering processes for NASA’s
Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD), and more
recently the Constellation Systems Program Office. Mr.
Shaker has consistently delivered quality solutions that
exceed client expectations.
Mr. Shaker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master of
Science in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
